Fortune Teller is an indie rock band from Charlotte, North Carolina. The band was formed in 2015 by Austin Forbes, Daniel Anderson and Jonathan Hussey. Lo-fi synths, drum machines, warbly guitars; it’s 1982 but it’s the future. It’s rock and roll but it’s relaxed. It’s the calmest angst you’ve ever heard.
Fortune Teller released its self titled album in 2019 with Four Finger Records.

It's easy to feel nostalgia for the perfect 80's hit. Synth so vibrant you can hear the neon lights, bridges and breakdowns you can sing and dance to, and storylines of either wanting someone else girl (looking at you Rick Springfield) or, in this case, someone trying to steal yours. Fortune Teller, from Charlotte, North Carolina, have bottled up that recipe in their latest track, "Please Be Cool."
